Indian American Community in Chicago Engages in Nukkad Samvaad with BJP Leaders

May 19, 2024, In a spirited and engaging Nukkad Samvaad (street dialogue) organized by the Overseas Friends of BJP (OFBJP) USA, the Indian American community of Chicago gathered to discuss the importance of retaining Prime Minister Narendra Modi for a third consecutive term. The event featured Sh. Atul Garg, the BJP Member of Parliament candidate from Ghaziabad, and Sh. Khemchand Sharma, a BJP spokesperson, addressed the attendees and responded to their queries.

The interaction on Sunday was a testament to the importance of the Indian American community’s engagement in the political discourse. It aimed at fostering an honest dialogue with the Indian diaspora, highlighting the Modi government’s achievements and the necessity of its continuation. Dr. Adapa Prasad, head of OFBJP USA, emphasized the significance of this engagement, stating, “Our goal is to connect with the diaspora and provide a platform for understanding why India must have Prime Minister Modi lead the nation for another term.”

Sh. Atul Garg, expressing confidence in his electoral success, assured the audience that the BJP is well-positioned to form the government once again. “We have worked tirelessly to bring development and progress to India. The people’s support is evident, and I am confident we will emerge victorious,” said Garg.

Our initiatives like Make in India, Digital India, and Swachh Bharat have transformed the country. We are committed to continuing this trajectory,” Sharma asserted, instilling a sense of hope and optimism among the audience.

The Nukkad Samvaad event was a testament to the strong sense of community and shared values among the Indian American community in Chicago. The vibrant participation and dynamic discussions with the BJP leaders showcased a united front, with many attendees expressing their unwavering support for Prime Minister Modi.
