Aarthi Sampath is a New York-based renowned chef, restaurant consultant, food truck expert, and TV personality, a rising star in the industry who gained popularity with her stint as judge on MasterChef Tamil.

As per her website, Sampath was born and raised in Mumbai, India, She studied her culinary skills at IHM Jaipur, and would invariably spend hours in the library reading culinary literature, familiarising herself with classical French cooking techniques. Aarthi entered into the culinary world in the diverse kitchens of India at the prestigious Taj hotels in different restaurants in Mumbai, New Delhi, Chennai, and Hyderabad.

Her passion for learning and exploring global cuisine brought her to America where she specialized in Food Service Management and Baking and Pastry at one of the best culinary schools in the United States; Johnson & Wales Culinary University in Providence, Rhode Island.

As part of her undergraduate program, she worked as an intern at the fabled Michelin-star Junoon in New York City, quickly rising through the ranks to become Chef De Cuisine. Later, She was crowned Executive Chef at American Gymkhana, an upscale Indian restaurant in Orlando, Florida by the founders of Junoon, as per her website.

She got a famous opportunity at Junoon, to work on The “Billionaire’s Club Dinner” hosted by Prime Minister Modi at the Waldorf Astoria in NYC. This added an illustrious chapter to her culinary voyage of excellence.

Aarthi is a famous Chef on American television. She gained acclaim by winning Chopped, a famed culinary cooking competition, becoming the first Indian woman chef to win the show. Apart from many such appearances, She made her latest television appearance on MasterChef Tamil’s debut season as a judge.

As per her website, She has been on the Advisory boards most prominent being the Master Chef Tamil Judge 2021, Fire Masters Semi Finalist 2020, Judge on Beat Bobby Flay 2020 and she won Beat Bobby Flay 2018.
