India has strongly dismissed Pakistan’s recent remarks on a court verdict involving a banned terrorist outfit. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) called Pakistan’s statement full of lies and baseless stories. This sharp response came after Pakistan commented on an Indian court’s decision about a terror group.

MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal spoke out on Wednesday. He said Pakistan is known for spreading false information to hide its role in terrorism. Pakistan is peddling lies and frivolous narratives, Jaiswal stated.

The dispute centers on a recent ruling by a Delhi court. The court upheld the ban on a major terror group active in Jammu and Kashmir and its members including Asiya Andrabi. Pakistan claimed the verdict was unfair and politically driven. It accused India of targeting groups but India rejected these charges outright.

Jaiswal reminded everyone of Pakistan’s long history of supporting terrorists. India has shared dossiers with the world, including the UN, showing Pakistan’s terror funding, he added.

This is not the first time the two neighbors have clashed over terror issues. Tensions remain high due to cross-border terror attacks and support by Pakistan for terror infrastructure in India.
