Tata Motors CV just rolled out 16 new truck models, putting electric vehicles right at the center of its lineup in the 6, 15 tonne range. They showed off five electric trucks, Ultra E.7, Ultra E.9, Ultra E.12, E.28K, and E.55S, built for everything from city deliveries to mid-haul cargo and construction jobs. Alongside the electrics, Tata introduced four internal combustion engine models from their Jamshedpur plant. With this move, Tata is doubling down on clean mobility, even as demand for regular trucks stays strong.
With these new electric trucks, Tata Motors is giving fleet operators more options to cut costs and meet stricter emissions rules. Now, they’ve got India’s widest selection of 6,15 tonne electric trucks, and they’re not stopping, another model under the Tata Azura brand is in the works. The new ICE lineup includes trucks like the Prima 3540.K tipper, Prima 5532, Signa 5532.5, and the Ultra T.19, all built on a fresh platform to boost performance and efficiency.
Manufacturing in Jamshedpur isn’t just about trucks, it’s giving a lift to Jharkhand’s industry as well. Sales are surging: in December 2025, Tata Motors CV sold 42,508 units, up 25% from the previous year’s 33,875, and 20% higher than the month before. Q3 FY26 numbers look strong too, with 1,15,577 units sold, a 21% jump, driven mostly by heavy commercial vehicles, which climbed 31% to 12,483 units.
This big push comes right after November’s 29% sales growth to 35,539 units, powered by rising demand in infrastructure and logistics.
