Abhishek Sharma was awarded the Player of the Tournament honors when India won the Asia Cup 2025 for his contribution of tournament high 314 runs in 7 matches. The Indian opener received a luxurious Haval H9 SUV as a prize for his performance, which costs approximately INR 35 lakh.
Now, photos and videos of Abhishek have gone viral where he is seen sitting in his new SUV alongside his teammate and opening partner Shubman Gill. The two stars of Team India took some selfies with the fans and were celebrating their huge victory. Videos of the two stars went viral as fans were amazed to see how close the two openers are even outside the field.
In the award ceremony, Sharma touched upon how good it feels getting a car as a reward. He also highlighted how he had executed the team’s plans throughout the tournament by showcasing intent from the very first ball.
“Getting a car is always a pleasure. (How has this tournament helped you?) I mean, of course, getting into this team after winning the World Cup, it wasn’t easy for any opener. But if you see, we had a plan that we want to play a game, you know, that we have to show intent from the first ball. So that was my plan, I worked really hard on that,” said Abhishek during the award ceremony.
Despite not performing well in the finals, there is no one denying the fact that Abhishek was the best Indian batter throughout the tournament. He won India several games single-handedly and gave the team electrifying starts all throughout the tournament scoring at an outstanding strike rate of 200 with an average of 44.85.
