Whole bollywood is buzzing as the reports of the sequel of one of the most popular Rom-Coms of 2013, Cocktail is in the works. It is stated that Maddock Films, who have been doing very well with the stellar films they have been putting out in recent years, have teamed up with Luv Ranjan and will be making Cocktail 2 with a starcast of Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon.
Both Shahid and Kriti will be sharing the screen once again after their last venture ‘Teri Baaton Main Aisa Uljha Jiya’ in which their onscreen chemistry was loved by everyone. Now there is another star who is being added to the film project as South Indian actress, Rashmika Mandanna is all set to join the starcast of the film.
The film has not begun its shooting right now as the makers plan to start shooting for the project in August 2025. The makers have also stated that they will be looking to wrap up the shoots by January 2026. The film will be written by Luv Ranjan while it will be directed by the director of the first part, Homi Adajania. The movie is going to be shot not only in India but will also be shot across different countries in Europe.
Shahid Kapoor who is already working for Vishal Bharadwaj’s upcoming movie project Arjuna Ustara. The film is a highly anticipated project and when its shooting is completed then Kapoor will be able to join the team of Cocktail 2.
Kriti Sanon is also currently shooting for her new movie project – Tere Ishk Mein. The movie will be Kriti’s first movie alongside South Indian superstar Dhanush. The movie will be directed by Anand L Rai. As for Rashmita Mandanna she is currently shooting for her film alongside Ayushman Khurana – Thama.
