Rani Mukerji is set to recreate onscreen chemistry with SRK in “King”

The iconic bollywood pairing from the early 2000s, Rani Mukerji and Shah Rukh Khan is all set to share the big screen again. As the reports suggest both legendary actors will be reuniting in Siddharth Anand’s next directorial venture ‘King’. The movie will begin filming this year.

The project has been one of the most talked about in recent times and it has been in the limelight due to the list of names that have been linked up with the film. The film’s star cast includes Shah Rukh Khan, Suhana Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Jackie Shroff, Jaideep Ahlawat, Abhay Verma, and Arshad Warsi in key roles.

Not only them but a plethora of Bollywood A-listers’ names have been connected to the film. From the likes of Deepika Padukone, Ranbir Kapoor, Salman Khan and Alia Bhat to now Rani Mukerji all have been roped and will be seen in the movie King. Both Rani Mukerji and Shah Rukh Khan have starred in some of the most iconic movies together. Their hits include movies like Chalte Chalte, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna, and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham just to name a few.

The inclusion of Rani Mukerji was reported by a close source from the movie. He said, “Rani Mukerji and Shah Rukh Khan have worked together on films like Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, and Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna among others, and are now all set for a reunion. Rani Mukerji has been cast to play the part of Suhana Khan’s mother, and it’s a role which acts as a catalyst for the entire action-thriller in the film.”

SRK is coming off a sensational run giving three back-to-back blockbusters – Pathan, Jawaan and Dunki in 2022. These three movies marked SRK’s grand comeback to Bollywood and since then he hasn’t been seen in any other movie. With Sidharth Anand’s King, King Khan would be looking to treat his fans with another blockbuster.
