A controversy that has created a buzz in the Bollywood currently is the tussle between actress Deepika Padukone and director Sandeep Reddy Vanga. Deepika’s recent appearance in Sweden where she gave an interview has spiced up the controversy as people are speculating that the actress might have hinted at something without taking names.

Padukone was in Stockholm, Sweden during the presentation of Cartier’s High Jewelry collection ‘En Équilibre’. There, she was giving an interview to Vogue Arabia, who asked her how she keeps the balance in her life.

Deepika replied beautifully to the question and said, “What keeps me balanced is just being truthful, authentic. Whenever I’m faced with complicated or difficult situations, to be able to listen to my inner voice and just stand by decisions that really give me a lot of peace is when I feel most in equilibrium.”

After her reply the netizens began speculating whether the actress gave a sly insight on her recent decision of leaving Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s project Spirit. The actress’ mention of a difficult situation in her answer has led many to believe that she might be talking about the recent barrage of attacks that the polarising director, Vanga made on his social media.

The whole drama came into public eye when Vanga ranted on his social media about the actress ousting the story of his film. Although Vanga didn’t take any names in his post, many people connected the dots and figured out that it might be Deepika. He also questioned the type of person she is and the feminism she stands for.

“When I narrate a story to an actor, I place 100% faith. There is an unsaid NDA (Non Disclosure Agreement) between us. But by doing this, You’ve ‘DISCLOSED’ the person that you are…. Putting down a younger actor and ousting my story?  Is this what your feminism stands for? As a filmmaker, I put years of hard work behind my craft & for me, filmmaking is everything. You didn’t get it. You won’t get it. You will never get it,” Vanga wrote in his post.
