Prakash “Paul” Patel reappointed to the Florida Real Estate Appraisal Board by Governor Ron DeSantis

On July 12, 2024, Governor Ron DeSantis announced the reappointment of Prakash “Paul” Patel to the Florida Real Estate Appraisal Board (FREAB) along with the appointment of 3 other members. Patel was appointed to the FREAB in the year 2021.

Patel is a Realtor for Weichert Realtors. Active in his community, he is a member of BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir of Orlando. Patel earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda.

The Florida Real Estate Appraisal Board (FREAB) is headquartered in Orlando and consists of nine members. The Board administers and enforces real estate appraiser license law.

Four members of the board must be Florida real estate appraisers who have been engaged in appraising real property in Florida for at least 5 years. One Florida member must represent the appraisal management industry. One Florida member must represent organizations that use appraisals for the purpose of eminent domain proceedings, financial transactions, or mortgage insurance. Three members shall be from the general public.

Patel is a member of the board as a Florida Resident.  

Along with Patel, Governor Ron DeSantis announced the appointment of Brandon Graves, Frank Griffin, and Nicole Ramos Jones to the Florida Real Estate Appraisal Board, also.

These appointments are subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.
