Republican US vice-presidential nominee Senator J D Vance recently applauded the significant contributions of immigrants from South Asia to America. During his acceptance speech on the third day of the 4-day Republican National Convention, Vance highlighted the enriching impact of these individuals on the country. He specifically praised his wife, Usha Chilukuri Vance, who is the daughter of Indian immigrants and a graduate of Yale Law School.
“I am married to the daughter of South Asian immigrants to this country, incredible people, people who genuinely have enriched the country in so many ways,” Vance, 39, said in his impressive acceptance speech on the third day of the 4-day Republican National Convention here.

His wife, Usha is an accomplished civil litigation attorney. She has also clerked for Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts and Justice Brett Kavanaugh. The couple, married in 2014, has three children: sons Ewan and Vivek, and a daughter named Mirabel.
