Aishwarya Thatikonda, 27, loses her life in Allen mall shooting

Aishwarya Thatikonda had just called her home to speak to her father T Ranga Reddy in Ranga Reddy district in Telangana. However, the happiness was short lived as the parents discovered just a few hours later that Aishwarya could not survive the mass shooting incident in the outlet mall in Allen, Texas killing 8 people.

Aishwarya came to the US for her masters in construction management from Eastern Michigan University. She had completed her graduation on civil engineering in 2018 from Osmania University in Hyderabad.

She graduated as a project engineer with Perfect General Contractors LLC in Frisco, Texas. She had gone shopping with her friend Shreyas who got injured in the incident. Aishwarya would be celebrating her 28th birthday later this month.


The texas governor, Greg Abott has blamed anger stemming from mental health crisis for the carnage in Allen. Texas was ranked last in the country in overall access to mental health care, according to data analyzed by Mental Health America.
