On the occasion of 92nd birthday of legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar on Tuesday, several members of the Indian film Industry extended their heartfelt greetings to her. Actor Anil Kapoor tweeted, “Just spoke to Lataji and wished her…I feel so happy and proud to know her…. may god give her all the health and happiness always@mangeshkarlata.” Veteran actor Anupam Kher shared that he feels peaceful while listening to Lata Mangeshkar’s magical voice.

“Such a wonderful feeling to wish the nightingale and the goddess of singing @mangeshkarlata ji on her birthday. Listening to her voice is the most peaceful feeling in the world. One feels blessed. May God give her a long, healthy and peaceful life.”

Actor Juhi Chawla also wished the nightingale of Bollywood on her special day. In fact, to mark the day, she has planted 100 trees. “A 100 trees for the legendary Lataji on her birthday Radio sun rahi thi, aapke 70’s ke gaane baj rahe the, aapki aawaz ko sunkar aisa laga jaise, phoolon ki baarish ho rahi hai, jaise Gangaji beh rahi hai.. with much love and respect,” Juhi tweeted.

Lata Mangeshkar turned 92 on Tuesday and plans to keep her birthday a simple, quiet family affair. Veteran star Dharmendra, too, wished Lata Mangeshkar on her birthday. “Happy Birthday to dearest Lataji. World’s most beloved singer, my loving Lataji, wish you stay healthy and happy always,” he tweeted alongside his picture with Lata Mangeshkar.

Lata Mangeshkar is known for iconic songs like ‘Aayegaa Aanewala’, ‘Aye Mere Vatan Ke Logon’ and ‘Babul Pyare’ among others.

There is no other devotion like devoting yourself to art, especially Music. Veteran singer Lata Mangeshkar has devoted her entire life to this Music and became the nightingale of India; she has been an inspiration for many.

To celebrate the 92nd birthday of her idol, Swapnali Gaikwad has filmed herself singing 92 songs of the singer’s most popular songs, including Lag Jaa Gale, Jaane Kya Baat Hai and Honthon Pe Aisi Baat, among others. She has unconsciously set a record for doing the same within 4 hours. Her name has been recorded in the “High Range Book of World Records”. She has worked and practised rigorously to make this happen and has practised for more than three months for this video.

After her 92nd birthday, legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar surprised her fans by posting a special audio message for them on her official Twitter account.

In the audio clip, the Queen of Melody thanked her fans for showering her with abundant love not only on her birthday but throughout her journey. “I am Lata Mangeshkar. Yesterday was my birthday and many people wished me on Twitter, Facebook and through calls. Several people wrote to me, children called me up. They sent me my pictures. It was my duty to express gratitude to you all. People from other nations also called me and sent their wishes,” Lata Mangeshkar said.

Also, Lata Mangeshkar, who is called the nightingale of Bollywood, credits her success and achievements to her fans. “I am grateful for all the love. Whatever I am today is because of your love,” she added.

Lata Mangeshkar’s audio message has won people’s hearts. Happy to hear Lata Mangeshkar’s magical voice after so long, a fan commented, “It feels so surreal to hear her voice. Nightingale forever.”

“You are an incarnation of Ma Saraswati…your voice is balmy. It soothes us, it connects us with the divine. Thanks a lot for being ours. May God bless you with immense happiness always,” another one wrote. Lata Mangeshkar, who began her career in 1942 is a recipient of the Bharat Ratna, Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan and the Dadasaheb Phalke Awards.
