The World Vegan Vision organized unique vegan Ramanavami celebrations at Siddhi Vinayak Mandir in Lawrenceville, New Jersey on April 2. World Vegan Vision is a volunteer organization that includes many animal activists, medical professionals and other professionals who support the promotion of a plant-based diet, animal welfare, and environmental conservation.
The organization further emphasized that a vegan diet is the best diet and quoted a couplet from Geeta, “If one offers to Me with devotion a leaf, a flower, a fruit, or even water, I delightfully partake of that item offered with love by My devotee in pure consciousness.” After the celebration, talks on veganism were given by WVV’s Medical director Dr. Shrenik Shah, president Dr. Kalindi Bakshi, and well-learned, long-term vegan enthusiast Anil Narang.
The food served was entirely vegan. It was well appreciated by the audience. There was a Q&A round too where many questions were asked regarding the vegan food and ingredients. The organizers have promised to keep another similar event on Janmashtami in August, when a much larger crowd is expected.
