This year on February 14th, Prateik Smita Patil and Priya Banerjee got married in an intimate ceremony that not many knew about. While the couple explored many different locations for their big ceremony, they ended up choosing the Bandra house of Prateik’s late mother Smita Patil.
The couple was recently in an interview with Nayandeep Rakshit on his YouTube channel where they revealed that they finalised the house of Smita Patil after she came in Priya’s dream. The actor shared that his late mother came in Priya’s dream and told them to marry in her house. He said, “Priya is forgetting the main thing, she had a dream about my mother, and my mother said you better get married in this house.”
Priya however chimed in and corrected her husband that her late mother didn’t command them to get married at her house. She stated that it was just a dream and no one really understands what they indicate. She just had a feeling that her marriage should be in this house so she ended up choosing his mother’s house for the auspicious day.
Priya said, “No, she didn’t say ‘you better get married.’ You are just making it up. It’s literally nothing. You know how dreams are very odd. You don’t really understand. I literally had a moment where I was like it should be done in this house and that’s it. It was in a dream, yes, but dreams are very odd, and you have to make of it what it means to you.”
Priya added, “I knew this house was meant for him and his mother. She wanted to live her life with him in that house. So, I thought this is her dream-this house. She’s not here with us, but if we do it here, at least we feel that she’s with us. It just felt like she was around. And all the 42 people present at the wedding mentioned that they felt her around.”
