The US Foundation for Education and Development (USFED),a New Jersey-based 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization, today highlighted its early achievements in education, community service, humanitarian assistance, and sustainable development during 2026. USFED also announced the appointment of Mr. Sunil Hali to its Board of Trustees, along with his role as a media advisor for the organization.
USFED is dedicated to advancing education, sustainable development, and charitable initiatives, with a particular focus on underserved communities, women, and children. Its key initiatives include Autism Support, the Sustainable Energy Initiative, Global Excellence Scholarships, and Nutrition 360.
“Although USFED is a young organization, we are focused on translating our mission into meaningful action,” said Dr. Lov Kher, President of USFED. “Through education, community engagement, humanitarian support, and strategic partnerships, we aim to create sustainable and measurable impact, starting in our local communities and extending to national and global initiatives.”
Welcoming a New Board of Trustee and Media Partner
The USFED Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Sunil Hali as a new member of its Board of Trustees. Mr. Hali has accepted the appointment and will also serve as a media advisor of USFED, supporting the organization’s outreach, communications, and efforts to raise awareness of its educational and charitable initiatives.

“I look forward to contributing to USFED in its quality initiatives especially education, autism support and scholarships to highly deserving and needy in USA. Its time to give back to this wonderful country which has accepted us with open arms and given us so much,” said Sunil Hali.
USFED welcomes Mr. Hali and looks forward to working with him to strengthen its public engagement, expand its partnerships, and increase awareness of its mission and community programs
Early 2026 Community Impact Highlights
Supporting Children Through Educational Play
In June and October 2026, USFED distributed American hand-crafted wooden toys created byMr. Jack Farr of JFTOYS, Inc. to children at schools in Somerset and South Brunswick, New Jersey.
The initiative sought to bring joy to children and encourage creative, hands-on, and educational play. USFED appreciates Mr. Farr and JFTOYS, Inc. for their contribution to this effort to support children and their development.
Mentoring the Next Generation in Climate, Environment, and Energy
From June through August 2026, Dr. Lov Kher mentored high school and college students from across the United States through the GIST Forum USA Summer Internship Program, under an established memorandum of understanding (MOU).
The 10-week online, self-study program enabled students to explore topics spanning climate, environment, energy, AI, and nutrition. Students conducted research, developed projects, presented their findings, and prepared research papers for potential publication.
This initiative reflects USFED’s commitment to STEM education, mentorship, research, and preparing young people to address complex global challenges.
Investing in Student and Scientific Engagement
USFED provided financial support to GIST Forum USA toward its annual meeting and student-development activities scheduled for October 17–18, 2026, in Orlando, Florida.
The event offers opportunities for students, scientists, technologists, and professionals to exchange ideas, showcase their work, and promote educational and scientific engagement.
Supporting Nepal Flood Relief
USFED provided financial support for Nepal flood-relief efforts through Sewa International following the devastating flash floods of August 26, 2026.
The disaster affected communities in Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading, and surrounding districts, damaging homes, roads, bridges, and essential infrastructure and leaving many families without basic necessities. USFED’s contribution supports humanitarian efforts to assist affected families and communities.
Supporting Families at the Ozanam Family Shelter
On September 24, 2026, USFED delivered food to the Ozanam Family Shelter in Edison, New Jersey, operated by Catholic Charities, Diocese of Metuchen.
The shelter serves single women and families experiencing hardship and housing insecurity. USFED’s contribution reflects its commitment to supporting local organizations that provide essential services to vulnerable members of the community.
Supporting Community Health Outreach
On October 4, 2026, USFED provided energy drinks for participants and volunteers at the Sewa International Central Jersey Chapter Free Medical and Screening Camp in Edison, New Jersey.
The community event offered free medical screening and outreach services. USFED was pleased to support this effort and the volunteers working to serve the local community.
Building Partnerships for Long-Term Impact
These early accomplishments represent the beginning of USFED’s broader commitment to building sustainable, scalable, and partnership-driven programs.
The organization intends to continue expanding its efforts in education, sustainable energy, nutrition, community development, humanitarian assistance, and other areas where collaboration can generate meaningful results.
