Stuntman Raju dies in horrific car accident while filming for Vettuvam

A tragic news has come out from the sets of the upcoming movie Vettuvam as a well-known stunt artiste, SM Raju, lost his life in a horrific car crash this Sunday morning on July 14th in Tamil Nadu. As per the reports the stunt artiste was in the middle of a high-risk car toppling sequence for Pa Ranjith and Arya’s joint venture, Vettuvam.

There were some horrifying visuals that surfaced on the internet of the tragic accident that showed Raju driving a car at high speed just moments before it violently topples and crumples. The horrific incident saw all the crew members drawing gasps of horror witnessing the chilling visuals.

Actor Vishal, a long-time collaborator and friend of stuntman SM Raju, was among the first to confirm the devastating news. He took to his official social media account on X and expressed his shock and grief at the loss of his friend’s life.  He recalled Raju as a brave person who performed so many risky stunts in his movies.

In his post, Vishal wrote, “So difficult to digest the fact that stunt artist Raju passed away while doing a car toppling sequence. I have known Raju for so many years, and he has performed so many risky stunts in my films time and again. He was such a brave person. My deepest condolences and may his soul rest in peace.”

The actor didn’t only express his grief but also made a heartfelt pledge to provide lifelong support to the stuntman’s grieving family. Vishal wrote, “May God give more strength to his family for their grave loss. Not just this tweet, I will definitely be there for his family’s future, being from the same film industry and also for his contribution to so many films.”
