Recently Kareena Kapoor was in an interview with Barkha Dutt talking about the rocky relationship of her parents. She talked about how the couple have come full circle and decided to spend old age together after separating from each other due to compatibility reasons.
Bollywood actor Randhir Kapoor and Babita had a love marriage on 6 November 1971 but the beautiful couple didn’t stay together forever. About 16 years later in 1988 the couple parted ways as Babita moved to her parents house. Although they never had a divorce, the couple didn’t stay together.
The couple however have decided to spend their old age together as they first started. Kareena stated that this whole situation is like some sort of a ‘divine kind of intervention’. Kareena said, “That is something that has come a full circle for Karisma and me, which is absolutely, it’s like a divine kind of intervention which has happened. Individually, I think both of them have been wonderful because I mean my father has always supported whatever I wanted to do in my life.”
The glamorous actress talked about how everyone in the world thinks that their parents are the best parents in the world and the actress couldn’t agree more. Kareena said, “Everyone’s parents are the best parents in the world. Yes. And my parents are the best parents in the world.”
She stated how her mother, Babita helped her and her sister Karisma Kapoor to break down the glass ceiling and breakthrough in the industry. She addressed that her father had to agree with her mother when she helped Karisma to break the shackles and become the first woman who had built a career in films in their family.
