Usha Vance to address USISPF Leadership Summit 2025 as Keynote Speaker

US-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF) have announced that Second Lady of the United States, Usha Vance will be the keynote speaker at the USISPF VIII Annual Leadership Summit to be held on Monday, June 2, 2025, in Washington, D.C.

Usha Vance, an Indian-American lawyer, is the first Indian-American Second Lady of the United States. She is the daughter of Indian immigrants who trace their roots to Andhra Pradesh. Usha, born and brought up in the US, completed her education at prestigious institutions such as Cambridge and Yale University.

Raised in a suburb of San Diego, California, with a strong emphasis on education and hard work, Usha’s academic achievements include serving as Managing Editor of the Yale Journal of Law & Technology and Executive Development Editor of The Yale Law Journal, according to a biography from Munger, Tolles & Olson law firm.

Moreover, this year’s summit will celebrate and honor three distinguished global business leaders with the 2025 USISPF Annual Leadership Award for their exceptional contributions to strengthening U.S.-India-Japan economic ties:

Arvind Krishna – Chairman, President & CEO, IBM

Kumar Mangalam Birla – Chairman, Aditya Birla Group

Toshiaki Higashihara – Executive Chairman, Hitachi Ltd.

The USISPF Leadership Summit is the most prestigious U.S.-India gathering in Washington, D.C., convening influential policymakers, prominent business leaders, senior government officials, diplomats, members of the U.S. Congress and Senate, USISPF Board members, and key stakeholders shaping the future of the bilateral partnership.
