Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan was honored at the Macau International Comedy Festival in China on Sunday where he was bestowed with the ‘Master Humor Award’ in the presence of his current partner Gauri Spratt.
Aamir and Gauri shared the stage with Chinese actors Shen Teng and Ma Li, who were also honoured at the event. The four were seen sharing a laugh on the red carpet and posing together for the cameras and even formed the heart signs with their finger.
According to a report on GDToday, Khan, Shen Teng, and Ma Li are slated to appear together at the festival’s closing forum, Laughter is the Best Medicine. The panel will explore the role of comedy in society and the potential of cross-border storytelling.
The bollywood actor is widely loved in China and affectionately known as ‘Uncle Mi’. His appearance on the ocassion drew widespread attention, reflecting the strong cross-cultural influence of his films in the Chinese market.
Khan commands massive popularity in China, where his films like ‘3 Idiots’, ‘PK’, and ‘Dangal’, among others, have earned critical acclaim and massive box office success.
