Kajol has heaped praise on her husband, actor Ajay Devgn’s release ‘Bholaa’. On Wednesday, Kajol attended the special screening of ‘Bholaa’. After watching the film, she took to Instagram and shared her review. She wrote, “Must must must watch. Full paisa vasool. Ajay, I was clapping and cheering throughout. #Bholaa releasing tomorrow in 3D.”

‘Bholaa’ is an official Hindi remake of the Tamil hit ‘Kaithi’. It has been styled as the story of a “one-man army, set in one night, fighting a multitude of enemies in various forms, human and otherwise.”

The original film revolved around an ex-convict, who decides to meet his daughter for the first time after being released from prison but gets caught in a face-off between police and the drug mafia.

Bholaa marks Ajay’s fourth directorial film after ‘U, Me aur Hum’ in 2008, ‘Shivaay’ in 2016, and ‘Runway 34’ in 2022. The film also stars Deepak Dobriyal, Sanjay Mishra, Vineet Kumar, Gajraj Rao and Tabu in pivotal roles.

‘Bholaa’ finally hit the theatres on Thursday and has received a decent response from the audience. As per trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the film raked in Rs 11.20 crore in India on its opening day. “#Bholaa puts up a decent score on Day 1 [#RamNavmi]… Healthy footfalls during spot bookings – towards evening shows specifically – compensate for the low turnout in morning + noon shows… Thu Rs 11.20 cr. #India biz. Day 1 biz tilts more towards mass centres, with #Mumbai remaining low… Needs to gather pace over the weekend for a respectable total,” Taran tweeted.

Ajay has worked hard on making the film a complete entertainment package. Speaking of how he got stylist Radhika Mehra to dress his villains up distinctively and differently, Ajay said, “I wanted the menace to travel deep. The objective was to carefully construct different identities for the various baddies who show up in Bholaa’s path. In the world of Bholaa the only one who is crazier than the villains is Bholaa himself.”

One of the main attractions of the film is the music. Ajay Devgn, last Friday, unveiled the new track of ‘Bholaa’. Titled ‘Dil Hai Bholaa’ the song is sung by Amit Mishra and penned by Irshad Kamil. Taking to Instagram, Ajay shared a clip of the song which he captioned, “The Bholaa Anthem you’ve been waiting for. #DilHaiBholaa Song Out Now! #BholaaIn3D #BholaaOn30thMarch.”

Soon after he unveiled the track, fans flooded the comment section with red hearts and fire emoticons. “Har Har Mahadev,” a fan commented. Another fan wrote, “Bhoot khoob Ajay ji super dupar hit.” A user commented, “Block buster ajay sir.”

Also, after the teaser of the new peppy track ‘Paan Dukaniya’, Ajay Devgn-starrer ‘Bholaa’ released the audio song. Taking to Twitter, Ajay dropped the audio version of ‘Paan Dukaniya’ and captioned it “#PaanDukaniya Audio Out Now.”

On last Sunday, Ajay treated fans with a glimpse of the along with it caption “Paan Dukaniya… Opening Soon! #PaanDukaniya Teaser Out Now. #BholaaIn3D #BholaaOn30thMarch.”

The song features Deepak Dobriyal. And in the video, a woman can be seen teasing men around her on the peppy beats and the face of the actor is not revealed. Recently, the emotional song ‘Aadha Main Aadhi Vo’ was released, which showcased the heart-rending relationship between Ajay and his 10-year-old daughter in the movie.

Talking of how the emotional journey of this one song alone left him tinged with sadness, Ajay said, “There is no bond more sacred than one that is between a parent and a child. And, the entire journey of Bholaa has just one meaning, one quest. It is his desire to get united with the daughter who has been separated from him at her birth because of circumstances. Not knowing how he will tackle the actual meeting between him and his child, this man (Bholaa) has gone through a decade of the most trying circumstances and held himself from ‘breaking’ because he knows at the end of it, he will get a chance to meet his child. If you listen closely to ‘Aadha Main Aadhi Vo’, you will realise how strong this bond between father and daughter is. The song is bound to bring tears to those listening in. It is just very emotional.”

‘Aadha Main Aadhi Vo’ is sung by B Praak with lyrics from Irshad Kamil. The song is composed by Ravi Basrur.

In the upcoming months, Ajay will be seen headlining ‘Maidaan’, which is a sports drama dedicated to the golden years of Indian football.

Ajay is essaying the role of the legendary coach Syed Abdul Rahim, who is widely known as the founding father of Indian football. The film also stars Priyamani, Gajraj Rao, and Bengali actor Rudranil Ghosh.

The film will be out in theatres on June 23.
