The Indian American community of New York, bids farewell to outgoing New York Deputy Consul General Dr. Varun Jeph. The event was hosted by community leaders Harish Thakkar and Ajay Patel. Mr. Prem Bhandri was the keynote speaker of the event.

AIA NY Past President and Community leader Harish Thakkar voiced appreciation for the efforts and initiatives undertaken by Deputy Consul General Dr. Varun Jeph in his tenure. Harish Thakkar emphasized that the Consulate under Mr. Jeph’s leadership has been proactive and efficient.
Dr. Varun Jeph, India’s outgoing Deputy Consul General in New York, bids farewell with a sense of accomplishment. Jeph’s tenure has been marked by dedicated efforts to boost bilateral ties, garnering praise from the India-American community, who organized a reception to express their appreciation.
Mr. Prem Bhandri, the keynote speaker of the event, in his speech emphasized the importance of unity among Indian organizations as vital for progress, fostering inclusivity, mutual respect and resilience, ultimately strengthening the social fabric and promoting peace, cultural and prosperity.
The farewell reception to Deputy Consul General Dr. Varun Jeph organized by community leaders Harish Thakkar and Ajay Patel, was supported by several diaspora organizations which included AAPI, AIA NY Chapter, American Punjabi Society (APS), Bruhud New York Seniors, Gujarati Samaj, International Ahimsa Foundation, Jaipur Foot USA, Rajasthan Medical Alumni Association, RANA – Rajasthan Association of North America, Riviera and their members.
Dr. Varun Jeph, Deputy Consul General of India in New York, was honored with a plaque for his distinguished service to the Indian diaspora. The award was presented by Harish Thakkar and Ajay Patel while Heeta Thakkar and Davika Patel Emceed the event.
