Young Indian professional dies in car accident in Pennsylvania

In a tragic incident, Arshia Joshi, a 24-year-old Indian professional, was killed in a car accident in the US state of Pennsylvania. Joshi had completed her graduation last year.

The Indian Consulate in New York said it was trying to extend all “possible assistance to transport her mortal remains to India at the earliest”. In a tweet, the Consulate General of India in New York said, “Our deepest condolences to the family of Ms Arshia Joshi, a young professional, who lost her life in a tragic car accident in Pennsylvania on March 21. May her soul rest in eternal peace.” The consulate stated that it was in touch with the family of the woman and the local community leaders while assuring all possible assistance to repatriate her body to India.

Team AID, a US-based volunteer organization that helps people living abroad in crisis situations, is assisting to send Joshi’s mortal remains to her family in Delhi.
