Nollywood dances to Bollywood Tunes at Nigerian Films Festival in Los Angeles

In keeping with the growth of Nigerian cinema, the seventh edition of Nollywood In Hollywood 2025, returned to Los Angeles with three wonderful Nigerian films, screened over two days at The Egyptian Theater in Hollywood and Eileen Norris Theater on the campus of the University of Southern California.

Nollywood has emerged as the second largest in the world in last thirty years, next only to India, with more than 1,000 films being produced every year, mostly direct to video. Indian Cinema is the world’s largest and its ever-growing success in US is attributed to the presence of more than 5 million strong Indian diaspora.

Acknowledging this common love for Cinema, Nollywood in Hollywood 2025 invited leading Indian American Rajendra Vora, Founder and President of Jain Social Group Beverly Hills, at the Red Carpet along with the host Ose Oyamendan, actress Uzoamaka, actor Abraham Ampka and Director Prince Daniel.

At the red carpet, Rajendra Vora congratulated all Nigerian celebrities and asked them if they like Indian Bollywood dance. Impromptu, popular actress and director of Nigerian cinema danced on Bollywood tunes, indicating their strong love and affection for the Bollywood.

The festival culminated successfully with screening of three popular Nigerian movies The Man Died, Oscar nominated – Mai Martaba, and The Weekend.
