The Republican leader, who had been criticized for his stand on racism in the past, was seen in a photo with his wife Usha Vance’s Indian family, reportedly at a family Thanksgiving dinner. The family picture shows Vance’s family in traditional Indian attire enjoying the festivities.
Asha Jadeja Motwani, a Silicon Valley-based venture capitalist, shared this fabulous family picture along with a caption: “JD Vance at Thanksgiving. Reminds me of the big fat Indian weddings.”
As the social media post went viral, reactions from different corners started pouring in with many appreciating him for being “a loving family man.”
One posted, “Lots of respect to Vance here for spending time with his wife’s fully Indian family. It can be hard for an outsider to adapt to Indian culture, especially with the older generation. Seems like they had a great time.”
“His son is sitting on his shoulder in a pure Indian way” said one netizen, another wrote: “JD got a sense of real family”.
Vance is seen wearing a blue t-shirt and jeans with his son on his shoulders, while on his side is his wife holding their daughter in a yellowish-brown outfit and all other Indian family members of Usha Vance. All the 21 family members could be seen having fun in what appears to be a party in the backyard of a house.
