The nonprofit organization Shakti USA hosted its Fourth Annual Ganesh Festival on Sunday, drawing a large crowd to celebrate South Asian culture and community. The event featured over 20 vendors offering a variety of items, including traditional clothing, jewelry, and a wide range of delicious Indian cuisine. Attendees also had the opportunity to explore services offered by local businesses from the South Asian community.

In addition to shopping, the festival hosted cooking and singing competitions for both children and adults, creating a lively atmosphere of friendly competition. Talented dancers and instrumental music performers took the stage in talent showcases, adding to the cultural richness of the event.

Local politicians and community leaders, including the Mayor of Parsippany, were present to show their support for the festival. Their attendance highlighted the importance of cultural events like these in fostering community unity.

The purpose of the Ganesh Festival was not only to celebrate culture but also to raise funds for charitable causes. Shakti USA, a nonprofit dedicated to empowering communities, used the event to bring people together while giving back.

“This festival is a beautiful way to celebrate our heritage and connect with the larger community while making a difference,” said one of the event organizers.

With vibrant performances, enthusiastic participation, and strong community support, the Fourth Annual Ganesh Festival was a resounding success.
