Actress Sonakshi Sinha has been named the Grand Marshal for the 42nd Annual India Day Parade organized by the Federation of Indian Associations (FIA). This event is possibly the largest Indian Independence celebration outside India and will take place on Madison Avenue in New York on August 18.
Sonakshi expressed her excitement and honor in a video message, highlighting the importance of celebrating India’s independence and rich culture. Other notable guests, including Bollywood actor Pankaj Tripathi and actor-turned-politician Manoj Tiwari, will join her.
The FIA NY-NJ-NE shared a video message about Sonakshi Sinha breaking the news about her association with the 42nd edition of India Day Parade being organized by FIA and exhibited a sense of pride in celebration of Indian Independence in New York as part of this marque event, following the Indian philosophy of “The World is One Family.”
This India Day parade in New York City will also feature a special Ram Mandir tableau to celebrate Indian culture and heritage. Organized by the Federation of Indian Associations (FIA), this 42nd Annual India Day Parade NYC route passes through the popular Madison Avenue and attracts thousands of members of the Indian diaspora here in New York and from the USA.
The India Day parade aims to highlight India’s rich cultural heritage, traditions, and accomplishments, filling Madison Avenue with the vibrant colors of the Indian tricolor and patriotic songs.
