Cricket pitch at the University of the Pacific inaugurated by Consul General Reddy

Dr K Srikar Reddy along with the Pacific President Christopher Callahan inaugurated the new Cricket pitch at the University of the Pacific. Consul General held discussions with President Callahan and senior faculty members regarding enhancing collaboration with Indian educational institutions. CG also interacted with students and members of Indian community-based in Stockton.

About 450 Indian students, which is about 50% of total international students, are studying at the University of Pacific. Speaking on the occasion, CG highlighted the growing interest in cricket across the United States, especially with the U.S. hosting ICC T20 World Cup matches in June this year. University of the Pacific is a private university originally founded as a Methodist-affiliated university with its main campus in Stockton, California, and graduate campuses in San Francisco and Sacramento.

Indian food and Bollywood performances were part of the inauguration ceremony at the University.
