Deepika Padukone sizzled in a shimmering Sabyasachi Saree at the 77th British Academy Film Awards as a presenter. This was her first time at the BAFTAs. Deepika walked the red carpet in a glittering white saree at the Royal Festival Hall in London where the awards ceremony was held.
Deepika Padukone presented director Jonathan Glazer with the award for Best Film ‘Not In The English Language’ for The Zone Of Interest. The actress, last seen in Fighter, posted a series of photos of her look.
BAFTA was hosted by actor David Tennant. Deepika was in the elite glitterati of presenters including Hugh Grant, Dua Lipa, Idris Elba and Andrew Scott. The nominee slate included Bradley Cooper, Cillian Murphy and Paul Giamatti for Best Actor, Emma Stone, Margot Robbie and Carey Mulligan for Best Actress, Robert De Niro, Robert Downey Jr and Ryan Gosling for Best Supporting Actor, and Emily Blunt, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, and Rosamund Pike for Best Supporting Actress.
The BAFTA Film Awards took place on Sunday night in London. It was a complete star-studded event with many global icons and prominent celebrities on the red carpet putting forwards their best foot forward. The evening was indeed a visual treat for the fashion police with so much glamour in a single place.
Deepika received great applause for her shimmery sequinned drape, looking looked absolutely enthralling and ethereal in the Sabyasachi saree. However, this is not the first time Deepika has taken the saree international. She wore a Rohit Bal creation at her very first Cannes Film Festival years ago and then again a Sabyasachi saree followed by an Abu-Sandeep look while serving on the Cannes jury in 2022.
