Miss/Mrs./Teen India New Jersey 2022 pageant held at Royal Albert’s Palace

NJ State directors Albert Jasani & Shobhana Patel mesmerized the New Jersey audience on July 15 when they presented the Miss India New Jersey at the Royal Alberts Palace.
Thirty-one Indian Americans participated in three different categories at the pageant held over two days. The talent segment was held on July 14 for Miss, Mrs and Teen India New Jersey beauty competitors. The main pageant took place over more than four and half hours on July 15, 2022 at the beautiful royal ballroom of the Royal Albert’s Palace in Fords, New Jersey. The contestants demonstrated their talent on 14th event, where the best of the best impressed judges. The top judges included personalities from models, designers and media professionals. They selected from the final round after ethnic wear round and question answer segment.
The Mayor of Woodbridge township, John McCormac inaugurated the pageant by honoring community leaders who attended the gala including Councilman Viru Patel. Teen Miss 2021 Riya Pawar sang American and Indian national anthems with full respects of US and Indian flags.
The event also marked the celebration of India’s 75th anniversary of independence, and tribute were paid to Mahatma Gandhi and prime minister Narendra Modi. A fashion show and special tribute to Gandhiji’s mission khadi on khadi textile to salute Bharat Mata was held with models walking on ramp in designer clothes made from khadi. This segment was specially designed by Sonal Gadhvi.
The Pageant was presented by Royal Albert’s Palace and associates and the Miss, Mrs & Teen USA winners were crowned by Bollywood star Riya Sen. The organizers included New Jersey State Director Shobhana Patel, who directed the whole show. Her team included Sonal Gadhvi, Shraddha Pawar, Choreographers Rohit Baxi and Host Aric Damani. The team worked for about a month to put the dazzling show after four years.
The pageant theme was Shakti the power, showing women empowerment on one stage with Miss, Mrs and Teen contestants.
Miss India NJ winner MIRA PATEL is the grand-daughter of Asmita and Arun Patel from Anand, Gujarat.
A special award, Royal Albert’s Palace Diva, was given to Suritikriti Saxena, and Shakti the power award was won by Ramman Preet Kaur as she was seven months pregnant. She had joined the competition to give the message to world if given an opportunity, then women can do anything.
A beautiful special dance performance was presented by Kalashree school of art students of world-renowned Bina Mannon.
