Vibrant Navaratri created history when thousands of Indian-Americans joined the first grand community event after the pandemic. The annual event hosted by United Rishabh created new records in attendance and size of the arena used, almost every corner of NJ Expo was occupied by the beautifully dressed Indians cutting across all age groups.
One saw a four-year old child dancing the to the traditional music of Garba, the most popular celebration event of Gujarati community all across the world. Though the event is attended by people from different parts of India, it is the most awaited event of the Gujarati community. This year the event has a unique significance. It opens celebration doors after almost 19 months. It is to be held on two weekends which include Friday-Saturday.
People dance for about 6 hours every night. The first weekend had music with two highly liked singers Rex D’Souza & Kosha. Both enthralled the attendees with high energy music which was ethereal.
Special credit goes to United Rishabh team who set a new record on Garba-Raas in this part of the world with an arrangement which was flawless. The event has generated numerous sponsors with DiyaCare as Presenter. Radio Zindagi is an exclusive Radio Partner. The event has received major support from Embassy Manor, R K Jewel, Pandya Foundation and TV Asia. Most media have supported the event wholeheartedly. Leaders in media include The Indian EYE newsweekly, Divya Bhaskar North American Edition among others. The community now looks forward to the second weekend at the same venue on October 15 & 16.
