There are new reports that have surfaced after the post-conflict assessment of the military engagement in May. The reports suggest that India has inflicted heavy damage to Pakistani artillery and have greatly affected their military forces. In total it was reported that 9 Aircrafts from Pakistan were taken down along with several drones.

According to the assessment provided, the reports suggested that in Operation Sindoor, India took down six Pakistan Air Force (PAF) fighter jets, two high-value surveillance aircraft, over ten armed drones, and a C-130 Hercules transport aircraft. The six jets from the Pakistani Air Forces were taken down in an air-to-air conflict in which India showcased their superior prowess than its neighbor.

The retaliation battles occurred within Pakistani Punjab and parts of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) as Indian air defence units proceeded to take down fighter jets before they could inflict any damage on the Indian soil. The interception of these jets was confirmed through radar tracking and thermal signatures which were captured by Indian ground-based missile systems and airborne early warning assets. It was said that the aircrafts from Pakistan disappeared from tracking grids after impact confirmations.

India’s one of the main shots came when they took down a high-value airborne surveillance platform. This was done by Sudarshan, India’s long-range strike asset which targeted the surveillance platform at the range of approximately 300 kms. The target was either an electronic countermeasure (ECM) platform or an Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) aircraft. India also took out one of Pakistan’s Swedish-made AEW&C aircraft through a missile attack at the Bholari airbase.

According to maps and data in the previously hidden Pakistani dossier, Indian airstrikes targeted facilities in Peshawar, Jhang, Hyderabad (Sindh), Gujrat (Punjab), Bahawalnagar, Attock, and Chor. These locations are listed to have key Pakistani military or dual-use infrastructure. This shows that India has destroyed far more crucial locations in Pakistan.
