In a historic first for Indian cinema, the Ranveer Singh‑starring Dhurandhar franchise has officially crossed Rs 3,000 crore worldwide, the highest cumulative total ever for an Indian film series. The two‑part spy‑thriller, Dhurandhar (2025) and Dhurandhar: The Revenge (2026), directed by Aditya Dhar and produced by Jyoti Deshpande, Aditya Dhar and Lokesh Dhar under Jio Studios and B62 Studios, has now overtaken long‑standing heavyweights such as Baahubali, Pushpa and KGF.
According to trade data from Sacnilk, the combined global collection of the Dhurandhar duology stands at Rs 3,019.35 crore, making it the first Indian franchise to breach the Rs 3,000‑crore mark. The first film earned about Rs 1,307.35 crore worldwide, while the sequel has grossed over Rs 1,712 crore globally, with India net collections alone of Rs 840 crore for Part I and over Rs 1,083 crore so far for Part II.
This milestone also marks another record: Dhurandhar is the only Indian series where both films have individually crossed the Rs 1,000‑crore worldwide club. By comparison, the Baahubali series stands at roughly Rs 2,438 crore worldwide, while the Pushpa franchise trails at about Rs 2,221 crore. The success of the franchise has been helped by a clear domestic release window, with several big titles like Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown‑Ups, Peddi, The Paradise and Dacoit delaying their releases.
