The Indian American community in the tri-state New York area came together on January 4 in Queens to host a successful fundraiser in support of Raj Goyle, Democratic Primary candidate for New York State Comptroller. The event was hosted by community leaders Dr. Thomas Abraham, Alex Esthappan, and Vim K. Goyal.
The gathering served as both a fundraising and networking event, bringing together a broad cross-section of community leaders and supporters. Attendees welcomed the opportunity to hear directly from Raj Goyle, who shared his vision and priorities for the office of Comptroller. The event exceeded its fundraising goal, raising more than $7,000, a clear indication that the Raj Goyle for New York campaign is gaining strong momentum.
Beyond the financial support, the event highlighted the growing engagement and unity of the Indian American community in civic and political participation. A large number of community leaders were present, underscoring the significance of the occasion.
In his remarks, Raj Goyle emphasized his commitment to accountability, innovation, and affordability in the management of New York State’s finances, with a strong focus on building a more transparent and effective state government. Participants expressed confidence in his candidacy and optimism that he will prevail in the Democratic Primary—an especially consequential contest, as the Democratic Primary effectively determines the November election.
Community organizers encourage supporters to continue their involvement and consider making a contribution of $250 before the January 11 deadline.
