Television actor Nandish Singh Sandhu, renowned for his role in the popular series ‘Uttaran,’ has officially announced his engagement to actress Kavita Banerjee. The announcement was made via a heartfelt social media post, featuring a series of candid and romantic photographs of the couple, which quickly drew celebrations from fans and industry colleagues alike. The engagement ceremony itself was held privately last month, on September 5, 2025, but was revealed to the public only recently through social media posts showcasing their joy and togetherness.
Nandish, known for his performances on shows such as ‘Phir Subah Hogi,’ ‘Beintehaa,’ and the web series ‘Grahan,’ looked dapper in a black suit, while Kavita stunned in an orange lehenga during their engagement. Their engagement pictures included both the formal celebration and personal moments, such as beach outings and the exchange of rings. Celebratory messages flooded social media, with wishes pouring in from co-stars and fellow actors including Tina Datta, Surya Sharma, and Akanksha Puri.
Kavita Banerjee, who hails from Kolkata and is now based in Mumbai, has built a diverse acting portfolio. She is best known for her roles in television serials like ‘Rishton Ka Manjha’ and ‘Bhagya Lakshmi,’ and she has also appeared in the film ‘Ek Villain Returns’ and the web series ‘Hiccups and Hookups.’ This new chapter in both actors’ lives comes nearly a decade after Nandish’s highly publicized marriage and subsequent separation from actress Rashami Desai, his ‘Uttaran’ co-star, with whom he parted ways in 2015.
