It is big news for filmmaker Kabir Khan and all the fans of Salman Khan’s iconic ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ as it becomes the only Indian film to join the ranks of James Bond and Mission Impossible films at the International Spy Museum. Sharing the grand news, Kabir Khan spoke about the immense joy he feels seeing his movie that was released 13 years back in 2012 still getting love in 2025.
The filmmaker took to his Instagram account and shared a string of news articles talking about how his movie is featured alongside James Bond and Mission Impossible films at the International Spy Museum in Washington DC. The movie starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles was a box office success and later went on to become a franchise with its sequels – ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ (2019) and ‘Tiger 3’ (2023).
Reflecting on his 2012 blockbuster Ek Tha Tiger, Kabir wrote in the caption that the true success of his movie does not lie in the box office numbers that it does but how well the movie connects with its audience and stays in their memories for a long time. He ended the caption stating – “Tiger humesha zinda rahega” (Tiger will always stay alive).
He wrote in the caption section: “A film is never only about how much it earned at the box office. It’s more about for how long it will continue to capture people’s imagination.”
He added, “And in that sense Ek Tha Tiger goes on and on. Of course, it was one of the biggest box office grossers ever when it released in 2012, but what gives me even more joy is that it’s still spoken about with love now in 2025. Tiger humesha zinda rahega…”
