What a spectacular day it was at the Frisco RoughRiders Stadium on August 23rd! Thousands came together for one of North Texas’ biggest Indian Independence Day celebrations, hosted by India Association of North Texas (IANT)!
The event highlights include:
- Inspiring address by Chief Guest Mr. D.C. Manjunath, Consul General of India in Houston
- IANT President Mr. Rajiv Kamat, and Chief Trustees Mr. B.N. Rao welcomed everyone
- IANT Future President Mahendra Rao was event chair and Vice President Justin Varghese played important role in event
A patriotic parade was executed by Janantik Pandya (JP) IANT board of Director in coordination with dignitaries, local leaders & Indian nonprofits organizations.
Incredible cultural performances with speeches by local dance schools of Dallas was marked by fun-filled activities, delicious food, an entertaining concert and fireworks display:
- 130+ vendor booths featuring food, shopping, and cultural exhibits
- Fun kids’ activities – Mehndi, face painting, bounce houses, cricket & more!
- Show-stopping concert by Rishi Singh (Indian Idol 13 Winner) & Anjana Padmanabhan (Indian Idol 14 Finalist)
- A stunning fireworks finale to light up the night sky!
