Actor Parineeti Chopra and her husband, Aam Aadmi Party MP Raghav Chadha, are set to embrace parenthood as they announced on Monday that they are expecting their first child together. The couple shared the joyful news through a heartfelt joint post on Instagram, instantly drawing an outpouring of wishes from fans, friends, and colleagues in the film industry.
The announcement featured an image of a round cake with the message “1 + 1 = 3” alongside golden footprints, accompanied by a short video of the couple walking hand in hand in a lush green garden. Captioning it, “Our little universe … on its way. Blessed beyond measure,” the duo shared their happiness with the world.
Colleagues from the film industry quickly joined in the celebrations. Sonam Kapoor wrote, “Congratulations darling,” while Bhumi Pednekar and Huma Qureshi also sent their warm wishes. Speculation about Chopra’s pregnancy had been circulating for months, but the actor had not addressed the rumors until now.
The couple, who tied the knot in an intimate Udaipur wedding in September 2023, had previously given fans glimpses of their personal celebrations. Earlier this Independence Day, Chopra shared a post enjoying family time with Chadha, sparking affectionate reactions online.
On the professional front, Chopra is set to appear in an untitled Netflix series alongside Tahir Raj Bhasin, Jennifer Winget, Harleen Sethi, Sumeet Vyas, Chaitannya Choudhry, and Anup Soni. The project has already wrapped up filming.
