One of the biggest female singers of the modern era, Sunidhi Chauhan has ruled the hearts through her angelic voice for over two decades. But it was not always so smooth sailing for Sunidhi as she faced serious challenges at a very young age with her parents disowning her and her first marriage falling through.
As Sunidhi was just growing out of the phase of adolescence at the age of 18 she decided to tie knots with a dance choreographer, Bobby Khan. However, her parents weren’t happy with their daughter’s decision to get married and didn’t support her in it. When Sunidhi got married to Bobby against the wishes of her parents they disowned her.
As per the reports, the love affair between the duo started when they were working on the song, Pehla Nasha together. Both of their families weren’t supportive of their marriage but the couple, although with a hefty age gap, didn’t care much and decided to tie the knot. They got married in 2002 with Sunidhi just 18 years of age and Bobby Khan entering his thirties.
The couple had a smooth start to their relationship but soon things began falling apart. It was reported that the apparent different religious beliefs caused a rift in their marriage. The marriage didn’t last very long and both of them got separated in just a year. After the failed marriage, Sunidhi tried reconciling with her parents who had disowned her after the marriage.
Sunidhi after the divorce with Bobby Khan neither had money nor a house to stay but during those days it was Anu Malik who stood by her and helped her in tough times. She then worked hard to build up a reputed career and almost a decade later, she gave love a second chance and got married again to composer Hitesh Sonik after the couple dated each other for more than two years.
