On August 3rd, Nirmiti School of Dance and Dancing Stars NJ had the honor of performing the opening act for Ashish Patil’s spectacular show, “Sundari” at Patriots Theater in Trenton NJ. With incredible amount of teamwork, our dedicated dancers came together to put on a performance that exceeded all expectations. The camaraderie within the team was palpable, and the outcome was nothing short of amazing. The performance showcased not only their hard work but their unwavering commitment to the art form. The audience responded with overwhelming appreciation, marking the opening act as a proud moment for all of us involved.
Following our performance, we had the privilege of watching Ashish Patil’s “Sundari” — a stunning fusion of Lavani and Kathak, which captivated the audience with its powerful choreography and emotional depth. The show was an artistic masterpiece that beautifully brought together two dance forms, leaving everyone in awe.
In addition to the performance, Nirmiti School of Dance and Dancing Stars NJ hosted two sold-out workshops with Ashish Patil on August, 2nd at the Parlor Banquet in Edison, NJ. These workshops were a huge success, attracting dance enthusiasts eager to learn from a true master of Lavani. Participants thoroughly enjoyed the experience, gaining invaluable insights into the cultural and technical aspects of the dance form.
We also proudly supported the non-profit organization “Save Indian Farmers” (www.saveindianfarmers.org), reinforcing our commitment to social causes and community support. The workshops showcased the passion and dedication of the participants, who walked away with not just knowledge but cherished memories.

Ashish Patil’s “Sundari” was a performance that deepened our collective appreciation for Lavani and Kathak, leaving a lasting impression on all who were fortunate to witness it.
