It was reported that today India’s Defence Minister Rajnath Singh was going to address the Operation Sindoor debate in the Parliamentary session. While the Defence Minister began his debate, the Indian security forces secured a massive win as they gunned down three Pakistani terrorists in an encounter near Srinagar. Two out of the three terrorists in the encounter were involved in the terrorist attack in Pahalgam.

The terrorist attack on April 22 took away the lives of 26 innocent people (mostly tourists) who were just enjoying the views of the beautiful valley. Suleiman Shah, a Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist, who was identified as the mastermind behind the terror attack was killed by the security forces in today’s ambush. The sources have confirmed his death in today’s operation which was termed as Operation Mahadev.

Through Operation Mahadev, the Indian armed forces also neutralised two other terrorists: Abu Hamza and Yasir. Alongside Suleiman Shah, Yasir was also amongst the terrorists who attacked the valley on April 22 and took away the lives of innocents.

Suleiman Shah who was also known as Hashim Moosa by many was part of the Pakistani Army and served in their country’s armed forces. It was reported that after the terrorist attacks in Pahalgam, the Jammu and Kashmir police force had announced a reward of Rs 20 lakh on anyone who would provide information about Suleiman.

The official X account of the Indian Army’s Chinar Corps had earlier posted that the security forces had launched Operation Mahadev in Lidwas. It was reported that Security forces from the Army, CRPF and Jammu and Kashmir Police were part of the joint operation. The Army has stated that the operation is not yet over and said, “Three terrorists have been neutralised in an intense firefight. Operation Continues.”
