UAE launches Golden Visa for Indians

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) announced that they are launching the ‘Golden Visa’ programme. This programme will ensure in expanding the country’s lifetime residency to individuals from various different countries. This scheme is to attract the talented professionals like nurses, educators and content creators from other countries to the UAE.

This is big news for people in India who were looking to move to the middle eastern country. This is a relief for them as earlier this visa was only given to those individuals who had a high net-worth that too with certain restrictions. The visa that was introduced back in 2019, had certain conditions including a significant real estate investment. The country then decided to lower the threshold to AED 2 million (Rs 4.66 crore) three years later in 2022.

This newly launched Golden Visa is tasked by the UAE government to lure some talented professionals to their country. The country is majorly looking for Indian nationals and attracting them through this visa as they represent one of the largest expatriate communities in the UAE.

The Middle Eastern country is looking for professionals in various different fields including YouTubers, podcasters, school teachers, principals, frontline workers, university faculty, nurses with over 15 years of experience, digital creators, accredited e-sports professionals above the age of 25, and Luxury yacht owners and maritime executives.

As per reports, the UAE is offering the lifetime Golden Visa for an amount of AED 100,000 (around Rs 23.3 lakh). According to the estimations it is to be believed that around 5,000 Indians will apply for this new visa in the next three months. People who buy this lifetime visa can engage in any type of business or professional activity and will be allowed to bring their family members to the country.
