A man from Uttar Pradesh, Monish Thakur has made headlines ever since he started his 2300 km long journey to meet the owners of Wipro – Azim Premji and Rishad Premji. He is riding from Meerut and will be reaching Bangalore to seek their blessing and thank them for the social service they have done.
In a lengthy Linkedin post, Monish wrote about his journey and spoke about why he wanted to meet the owners of Wipro. He said that through this journey he is learning more about life.
Monish wrote, “I, Monish Thakur, am cycling from Meerut to Bengaluru – a long and exhausting 2,300-kilometre journey. Today, I have covered 2,100 kilometres, with just a few steps remaining. My goal is not just to reach a destination – I am on this journey to meet a person who has dedicated his life to social service, Shri Azim Premji sir, and his son, Rishad Premji sir. Their contributions to education and human welfare have always inspired me. I wish to meet them to seek their blessings and guidance.”
He added, “With every pedal, I am learning something new – the love of people, the challenges of the road, and the passion to fight for my dreams. If you connect with my journey, please share this post and support me so that I can safely reach my mission and show the world that if your resolve is strong, no path is too long.”
This is not Monish’s first journey that he has completed by a cycle to meet someone of importance. A few years earlier, in 2023 Monish cycled from Meerut to Mumbai to meet the chairman of Tata Sons N Chandrasekaran. There he had to wait for around 3 days outside Chandrasekaran’s house in Mumbai to finally meet him.
Monish had reached Bangalore as of now and reached the Wipro office to meet the Premji father and son duo. He was stopped outside his office and hasn’t been able to meet them as of yet.
