Anushka Sharma left heartbroken after the tragic stampede incident in Bangalore

Bollywood Actress and Producer, Anushka Sharma shared her condolences after the horrific and tragic incident at the M. Chinnaswamy stadium. The event witnessed the death of 11 innocent fans who lost their lives in the stampede caused by the chaotic crowd who wanted the glimpse of their stars from Royal Challengers Bengaluru.

Anushka, being Virat Kohli’s wife, was also present at the event and mourned for the death of so many innocent fans. Anushka who was traveling in the team bus with RCB posted several stories earlier appreciating the love that the fans showered and the large numbers they showed up outside the stadium.

Later when the actress found out about the tragic situation she reposted the post made by RCB’s official account with broken heart emojis in the caption. The post highlighted the deep anguish that they felt about the unfortunate turn of events. The post clarified that they care about the safety of everyone the most. They also claimed that as soon as they found out about the stampede they amended the program and followed the instructions of the local administration.

“We are deeply anguished by the unfortunate incidents that have come to light through media reports regarding public gatherings all over Bengaluru in anticipation of the team’s arrival this afternoon. The safety and well-being of everyone is of utmost importance to us,” the official statement from RCB read.

They added, “RCB mourns the tragic loss of lives and extend our heartfelt condolences to the affected families. Immediately upon being made aware of the situation, we promptly amended our program, and followed the guidance and advice of the local administration.”

Virat Kohli also shared RCB’s official statement on his Instagram handle. He wrote in the caption, “At a loss for words. Absolutely gutted.” with a broken heart emoji. The Franchise was celebrating their first ever championship victory in the Indian Premier League after 18 years. They defeated the Punjab Kings in the finals of the tournament in a gruelling encounter.
