A video of Sonu Sood has gone viral recently which has enraged netizens who are questioning why the Bollywood actor has not been reprimanded yet for his actions. The video has caught strays after Sood was seen riding a bike in Spiti valley with no protective gear. The netizens claimed that the video showed the irony as Sonu Sood was recently seen promoting a road safety campaign.
In a video clip shared by the instagram account, ‘Ride With Victor’, the veteran actor can be seen riding a bike without a helmet, protective gear or even a shirt. He had sunglasses on and was seen leading a group of riders in the snow-capped valley of Himachal Pradesh. This started a serious frenzy in the social media circuit as people questioned the morality of the actor.
An X user tagged Himachal Pradesh Police and commented, “So will Himachal Pradesh Police take any action on Sonu Sood for riding naked without a helmet in Spiti? No protective gear, no clothes – for god knows what he is trying to promote. Are celebrities above the law?”
Himachal Pradesh’s police department took notice of the situation and assured the public that the necessary action will be taken as per the law against the Bollywood actor. They also specified that the video was 2 years old and was from the year 2023.
Their statement stated, “A video is going viral on social media in which a Bollywood actor is seen violating traffic rules in Lahaul-Spiti district. According to preliminary information, the video appears to be from the year 2023. The task of investigating the authenticity has been handed over to DySP Headquarters, Kyelang. Whatever necessary action is required as per the law, it will be taken by the district police. District Police Lahaul-Spiti appeals to all citizens and tourists to follow traffic rules and adopt disciplined and responsible behaviour.”
Sonu Sood, who was recently seen promoting a road safety campaign recently is now being questioned by the public as this video seems to be ironic to his recent promotions. The veteran actor has not responded to the controversy yet and people are awaiting his statement on the issue.
