In a major casting announcement, actress Triptii Dimri has been officially signed as the female lead opposite Prabhas in director Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s much-anticipated film, ‘Spirit’. The news was confirmed by the makers and the director himself on social media, generating significant buzz in the Indian film industry.

Triptii Dimri, who rose to national fame after her acclaimed performance in Vanga’s previous blockbuster ‘Animal’, will be teaming up with the director for the second time. This marks her first on-screen pairing with ‘Baahubali’ star Prabhas, a combination that has already sparked excitement among fans and industry insiders. The announcement was made by Sandeep Reddy Vanga on his official X (formerly Twitter) account, stating, “The female lead for my film is now official,” accompanied by a smiley emoticon.

The actress also took to Instagram to share her excitement, writing, “So grateful to be trusted with this journey. Thank you @sandeepreddy.vanga… honoured to be a part of your vision.” This collaboration reunites her with producers Bhushan Kumar and Pranay Reddy Vanga, further strengthening the creative team behind the project.

‘Spirit’ is set to be a pan-Indian release, hitting screens in nine languages in 2025.

Prabhas will reportedly play a fierce and intense cop, while Triptii’s addition is expected to bring a fresh dynamic to the narrative. The film is currently in pre-production, with shooting schedules and further casting details yet to be announced.

Speculation had earlier suggested that Deepika Padukone might be considered for the female lead, but the official confirmation of Triptii Dimri has put those rumours to rest. Industry analysts believe that this new pairing could set the stage for one of the biggest releases of 2025.
