In a significant milestone for Indian cinema, actress Shruti Haasan is set to make her international debut with the British psychological thriller, The Eye. This gripping film, directed by Daphne Schmon, follows the story of Diana, a young woman who loses her husband Felix in a tragic drowning incident on a remote island. As Diana attempts to scatter Felix’s ashes, she becomes entangled in the mysterious ‘Evil Eye’ ritual, which promises to resurrect the dead but at a sinister cost.

Shot primarily in Corfu and Athens, The Eye showcases breathtaking landscapes of Greece, amplifying its eerie and suspenseful atmosphere. The film has already garnered attention at the Greek International Film Festival and the London Independent Film Festival, where it was nominated for several awards, including Best Director and Best Film.

Shruti Haasan’s performance as Diana has been praised for its emotional depth and complexity.
