In a remarkable display of mental prowess, 20-year-old Vishvaa Rajakumar from Puducherry has emerged as the winner of the Memory League World Championship 2025. This achievement not only marks a significant milestone in his career but also places him at the top of global rankings with a perfect score of 5,000.
Rajakumar’s extraordinary performance included memorizing 80 random digits in just 13.50 seconds and recalling 30 images in an impressive 8.40 seconds during the online competition. His success is attributed to his mastery of the “method of loci,” or memory palace technique, which involves associating information with specific locations to enhance recall speed.
As a student at Manakula Vinayagar Institute of Technology, Rajakumar has consistently demonstrated exceptional memory skills through participation in national and international competitions. He holds multiple titles, including runner-up positions at Indian National Championships and wins at Asian Oceanian Open Slam and Pan American Open Slam.
Rajakumar emphasizes physical preparation alongside mental training, highlighting hydration as crucial for maintaining memorization speed by facilitating clear subvocalization. His victory is an emotional testament to years of dedication and perseverance.
