About 300 members and guests of United Senior Pariwar, USP in Chicago celebrated Diwali and Annakut with great pomp and show on 9th November at Swaminarayan Mandir, Wheeling.
At the beginning, Thakorji was offered a prana pratishtha and worshipped by all. Then, Secretary Shri Ramesh Choksi welcomed everyone and presented the outline of the program. Shri Pradumanbhai Pathak explained the Diwali festival and elaborated its true meaning. Vice President Shri Rohit Joshi, Former President Shri Raman Patel, and President Shri Virendra Patel together showered their blessings to all present.
Mrs. Jyotsna Choksi, Shri Bhadra Shah and Ranjan Dave sang lovely songs and bhajans to celebrate the beauty of Diwali. Shri Manu Patel, Anandi Patel, Ghanshyam Patel, Jayshree Patel and Raman S Patel religiously participated in the Diwali worship while Acharya Shri Rohit Joshi performed the Vedic rituals.
The members who have their birthdays in the month of November were greeted and sweets were distributed to everyone as part of the birthday’s celebration. The Diwali event made it a special day for everyone at USP with a delicious meal prepared for the festival.
