As tensions escalate in the Middle East following Iran’s missile attacks on Israel, the Indian Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has issued a critical advisory for Indian nationals in Iran. The advisory, released on October 2, urges Indians to remain vigilant and maintain contact with the Indian Embassy in Tehran.

The conflict intensified dramatically when Iran launched approximately 200 missiles at Israel in retaliation for the killing of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah. This military response has raised fears of broader regional instability, prompting the MEA to recommend avoiding all non-essential travel to Iran. Indian nationals currently in Iran are advised to adhere to local safety protocols and stay informed through embassy communications.

The Indian Embassy in Tel Aviv has also echoed these concerns, advising Indian citizens to exercise caution and avoid unnecessary travel within Israel. Security measures have been heightened at the Israeli embassy in New Delhi, reflecting the growing apprehension regarding potential retaliatory actions from both sides.

Iran’s Foreign Minister has stated that their missile attacks are concluded unless provoked further, indicating a precarious balance of power. Meanwhile, Israeli officials have vowed to respond decisively to any threats, heightening the risk of a wider conflict.

The MEA’s advisory emphasizes the importance of protecting civilians and calls for restraint from all parties involved. As the situation develops, Indians in Iran are urged to prioritize their safety and stay informed about the evolving geopolitical landscape.
