Achintya Mangla, a veteran at JP Morgan, moves to Citigroup as Head of financing for Investment Banking

Citigroup has recently hired Achintya Mangla as the head of financing for investment banking. This is a newly created role where he will oversee global debt capital markets, equity capital markets, syndicate, and private capital markets. Mangla, who has over 22 years of experience at JP Morgan, will report to Viswas Raghavan, the head of banking.

Mangla is starting his stint at Citigroup with effect from September 4 and will help deliver advisory and financing strategies for Citigroup clients in public and private banking. He will be based in both London and New York.

Raghavan, who joined Citi in February this year from JP Morgan, stated “He is a proven leader with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams that deliver innovative, globally minded solutions to clients.”
